Maan Dhiya Te Samaj Bhalai Society on Wednesday handed over a draft containing 1,00,972 signatures collected from students to make them aware of female foeticide under ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’ movement to DEO Salwinder Singh Samra.

Society president Gurinder Singh Mattu said at present society was facing many challenges and one of them was female foeticide. He said focus was on creating awareness among youngsters.

The DEO appreciated the efforts of individuals and NGOs to create awareness among people, especially students, against social evils.
