In a joint operation, the Punjab police and BSF seized a DJI Mavic classic drone and three packets of heroin weighing 474 grams from the fields of Bohar Singh, a resident of Khemkaran, on Wednesday.

DSP, Bhikhiwind, Preetinder Singh said that the police had received a secret information regarding a drone lying in the fields of Bhohar Singh of Khemkaran. On receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot with BSF personnel and recovered the DJI Mavic Classic 3 drone along with the packet of heroin.

A case under Section 10, 11, 12 and 13, Aircraft Act, and Section 21-C, NDPS Act, has been registered at the Khemkaran police station. Nothing suspicious was found on further search though the police is conducting a probe, said the DSP.
