The Border Security Force BSF seized a pistol along with ammunition and over 5 kg narcotics that were dropped by a drone near the International Border in Amritsar Sector in the wee hours of Sunday.

On the intervening night of November 25-26, BSF troops intercepted a drone as well as heard the sound of something being dropped near Chak Allah Baksh village, a BSF officer said.

During a search operation carried out in the depth area, troops recovered a big packet wrapped with yellow adhesive tape with a metal ring attached to it, from the fields adjacent to the village.

It contained fiver smaller packets of heroin weighing 5.240 kg, a pistol made in Italy, two magazines and 20 rounds of ammunition. Further search of the area is in progress.
