Edu Dept holds contest on managing stubble

Instructions in this regards were issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Tarn Taran, Rahul, and under the supervision of local Chief Agriculture Officer Dr Tejbir Singh. Block Agriculture Officer, Patti, Dr Bhupinder Singh gave technical information about the adverse effects of burning crop residue on the fertility of the land and the environment. He stressed that the future depends on the thinking and performance of the youth. He said that the youth have a lot of enthusiasm and they can bring about the necessary change in society with their positive thinking. He said sincere efforts were needed to save the environment.
School principal Ranjit Kaur thanked the agriculture officers for the information and said that everyone needs a clean environment and they will continue to provide all possible support for its maintenance. On the occasion, certificates and mementos were given to the students who participated in the subject of environment and stubble management through speeches, poems, posters and songs.
Lecturer Rakesh Kumar played the role of stage director. Teacher Prabhjit Singh, Satwant Kaur, Gursimran Singh, Agriculture Deputy Inspector, and field worker Gurlal Singh were also present on the occasion.
