Upon alighting from the bus at the ISBT, he reportedly urinated on the stairs. A BRTS security guard spotted him and allegedly misbehaved with him.

Gurnam later alleged that the security guard forced him to clean the floor with his turban.

While Gurnam was cleaning the floor, a passenger took photos of the incident, which went viral on social media.

Another BRTS staff member also recorded a video of Gurnam, in which he accused the security guard of forcing him to clean the floor with his turban.

Gurnam claimed that he was unwell and could not control the call of nature. The BRTS authorities have suspended the security guard involved and initiated a probe into the matter.

Security manager Ajay Sharma said, “We have suspended the security guard concerned and initiated an inquiry. The security guard claimed that Gurnam Singh is a habitual drinker and was under the influence of alcohol on Tuesday. He urinated in front of some female passengers. That’s why he scolded him but did not ask him to clean the floor. Gurnam cleaned it on his own. No one forced him. Senior officials will hear both sides before taking a decision.”
