Seven people, including three members of a family from Assal village near Patti, died in two separate road accidents.

The three family members died in an accident on the Tarn Taran-Patti road near Lauhuka village on Tuesday.

Their motorcycle collided with the speeding official vehicle of the SDM, Patti, Preet Inder Singh.

In another accident on the Chabal-Attari road near Dode village on Monday night, four people on two motorcycles died when their bikes collided head-on. Police have initiated further investigations into both accidents.

In the accident on the Tarn Taran-Patti road, SDM Preet Inder Singh and his driver, Varinder Singh, were also injured and admitted to hospitals in Amritsar.
