Family of jailed youth in Russia pleads for help

The family of Sikandar Singh, son of Sahib Singh and a resident of Malla village in Khadoor Sahib, Tarn Taran district, has appealed for help from international justice organizations.

Speaking to the media, Sahib Singh stated that his son, Sikandar Singh, had travelled to Glavstroe Smu Untolova in Saint Petersburg, Russia, in search of a better future. However, according to the family, Sikandar was deceived and has since been imprisoned in a Russian jail under fraudulent circumstances.

Sahib Singh added that the family had mortgaged their land and taken on a heavy debt to support Sikandar’s travel. Now, with their son imprisoned and no clear resolution in sight, they are under immense financial and emotional distress.

The family is seeking international support and justice in the matter, urging authorities and human rights organizations to intervene and help secure Sikandar Singh’s release.
