Farmers in big number forced Tarn Taran MLA Dr Kashmir Singh Sohal to leave the Government Elementary School at Noordi village, where he had come to inaugurate completed development works on Monday. Farmers and other activists of the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee on receiving information about Dr Sohal’s visit reached the school with black flags. The MLA left the venue without inaugurating development works.

Jarnail Singh Noordi and Baljit Singh Chabal, who were leading activists of the KMSC, said they came to school just for dialogue with the MLA regarding torture of men and women activists by the state government who were sitting on the morcha at the Shambhu-Khanauri border.
