Under the directions of the Election Commission to keep January 1, 2025 as the eligibility date for all the four Vidhan Sabha constituencies —- Tarn Taran, Patti, Khadoor Sahib and Khemkaran —- a total number of 7,85,478 voters have been registered and the final voters’ list released. District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Deputy Commissioner Rahul, while addressing representatives of different political parties here on Wednesday, said that of the total 7,85, 478 registered voters in the four Vidhan Sabha constituencies of the district, 4,13,225 are men and 3,72,223 women while 30 voters belong to the third gender.

The District Election Officer said that in 21-Tarn Taran constituency, there are a total of 1,92, 673 voters and of these 1,01,009 are men and 91,664 women with eight coming in the third gender category. In 22-Khemkaran, there are a total of 2,02,998 voters. Of these, there are 1,06,451 men, 96,538 women and nine of the third gender. The DEO added that in 23-Patti constituency, there are a total of 1,90,272 voters and out of these, 1,00,018 are men, 90,247 women and seven of third gender. In the 24-Khadoor Sahib constituency, there are a total of 1,99, 527 registered voters. Of these, there are 1,05,747 men, 93,774 women and six of third gender.

The DEO said there are a total of 904 polling booths and at each polling booth, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been deputed.
