Addressing media persons, Karan Gilhotra informed that this year’s expo will include several business seminars and is likely to feature participation from approximately 550 exhibitors representing various sectors from India and abroad. He added that delegations from three Indian states and four foreign countries are likely to take part in the event.

Highlighting tourism initiatives, he announced that the Punjab Tourism Recognition Awards, introduced last year in collaboration with the Government of Punjab, will once again be organised on December 6.

Himani Arora highlighted that the Punjab Heritage Show will celebrate the state’s rich culture and craftsmanship, highlighting how tradition inspires modern couture and community growth. “Through the PHDCCI Fashion Tex Tech Forum, we aim to empower artisans across all levels, particularly those engaged in Phulkari, blending heritage with innovation to showcase the true spirit of Punjab,” she said.

Bharti Sood said the PITEX witnessed consistent growth in scale, participation and public response over the years, owing to strong support from the state government. She added that meetings with government authorities regarding event preparations have commenced, and detailed operational plans will be finalised shortly.
