The Sarhali police arrested four car-borne persons with 2 kg of heroin from a T-point in Sarhali on the Patti road on late Thursday evening.

SSP Abhimanyu Rana said here on Friday that all the accused, residents of Abohar (Fazilka district), have been identified as Lovpreet Singh, Tinku Singh, Raman Singh Ravi and Khushdeep Singh Khushi.

The SSP said on a tip-off, a Sarhali police team led by SHO Sub-Inspector Amrik Singh installed a naka on National Highway No.54 near the T-point in Sarhali. The car occupants were signalled to spot when they approached near the police check-post. On searching the suspects, the police recovered 2 kg of heroin from the possession of the car occupants.
