The city police busted a gang of robbers with the arrest of four persons. The police said they have recovered 10 mobile phones from the possession of the suspects. They said they have seized two sharp weapons, an iron rod and a bike from them.

The police said the suspects have been identified as Arshdeep Singh alias Kela of Kot Wadhawa, Lovepreet Singh of Mule Chak village, Shamsher Singh of Kot Wadhawa and Kuljit Singh of Guru Arjan Dev Nagar.

DCP Alam Vijay Singh said the suspects had confessed to their involvement in seven snatching instances in the city, adding that they were arrested from the Sultanwind area.

He said Arshdeep had four criminal cases of snatchings against him and Kuljit Singh has a kidnapping case against him.

ADCP Vishaljit Singh said the suspects were brought on police remand and further probe was on.
