The passenger, identified as Muhammed Shuhaib, landed at the Amritsar airport on Thai Lion Air Flight No. SL214 at 11.25 pm on March 15. During routine screening, security personnel detected suspicious substance in his luggage. A detailed inspection confirmed the presence of hydroponic Ganja, a high-potency variant of cannabis cultivated using advanced techniques.

The smuggled contraband was seized and the authorities initiated legal proceedings under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985. Investigation agencies are now probing the case to identify possible links with international drug syndicates.
