Two girl students of the local Sri Guru Arjun Dev (SGAD) Government Girls Senior Secondary School, who participated in the International Kurash Championship held in South Korea, were honoured here by the Sports Department on Wednesday. Satwant Kaur, District Sports Officer, who honoured the players, said that the girls, Kirandeep Kaur and Sukhmanpreet Kaur, had represented the country and brought laurels to their institution. The girls belong to the school’s sports wing.

Ravinder Kaur Ahluwalia, principal of the school, informed that Manpreet Kaur, Punit Kaur, Khushi, Manreet Kaur, Gurwinder Kaur and Noor, the students of the institution in the state-level sub-junior tournament held at Ludhiana recently, excelled and they too were honoured in the school. The Sports Department also honoured Sukhjit Kaur, coach of the players.
