Amritsar, September 18

The Government Medical College’s department of pharmacology is celebrating ‘National Pharmacovigilance Week’ from September 17 to September 23. The theme of the week is ‘Patient Safety Awareness’.

The event was launched by vice-principal Dr JS Kullar, Medical Superintendent Dr KD Singh, former civil surgeon Dr RS Sethi, head of department Dr Gurpreet Kaur Randhawa and Dr Navyug Raj Singh.

Dr IPS Grover, nodal officer for the programme, said seminars, role plays in clinical departments for awareness of public to report adverse drug reactions, quiz and slogan-writing competitions would be held throughout the week.
