In his first interaction with the researchers, the Vice-Chancellor underlined the importance of conducting research aimed at societal welfare and pledged the university’s unwavering support to its scholars.
Highlighting his vision for GNDU, the Vice-Chancellor shared that his foremost priority is the all-round development of students, ensuring they thrive academically and personally. The Vice-Chancellor assured the scholars that the university administration is committed to creating a conducive environment for research and innovation, addressing any challenges scholars might face.
“Research is not just an academic exercise, it is a powerful tool for societal transformation,” he stated. He encouraged the scholars to focus their efforts on solving both global and local issues such as drugs abuse, unemployment, huge immigration of youth, etc, aligning their research objectives with the broader goal of societal betterment. The Vice-Chancellor also drew inspiration from the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev, particularly the philosophy of universal philanthropy, urging scholars to imbibe these values in their work.
