The Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee (KMSC) held a meeting at Pidi village near here to strengthen farmers’ agitation. On the occasion, the farmer leaders stated that leaders of the ruling party would not be allowed to enter villages.

The KMSC also announced that corruption in public offices would not be tolerated and the union would hold protests outside government offices from where complaints regarding harassment of applicants are received.

KMSC leader Satnam Singh Pannu said, “The government is trying to muzzle the voice of farmers and labourers. We want to make it clear that police action and high-handedness would only strengthen public movement.”
