The government has planned a state-level event to mark the occasion following concerns raised by the General Sardar Sham Singh Attariwala Trust, who expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of public announcements regarding the ceremony.

At 10.00 am, Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal would offer tributes and garlands at the martyr’s statue at India Gate. An hour later, at 11.00 am, he and others would take part in the Bhog of Akhand Path at the martyr’s native village, Attari.

The district administration, led by Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney, has already conducted a meeting with officials from various departments to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
