The BSF seized 1 kg of heroin and a drone, which reportedly came from the Pakistani side into the fields of Cheema Kalan village in the border area here on Sunday.

ASI Nirmal Singh said here on Monday that a team of the Sarai Amanat police station recovered the drone after receiving information in this regard.

ASI Nirmal Singh said the police have registered a case under Sections 21-C, 29, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act and Sections 10, 11 and 12 of the Aircraft Act. Authorities suspect that the drone was used for cross-border smuggling and are continuing investigations to uncover any local links to the incident.
