Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Dr Sheetal Singh said Simranjit Singh was booked by the Division B police under Section 27 of the NDPS Act while investigations were on to identify others, including two women, consuming drugs in the video.

“As soon as the video came to our knowledge, the police immediately swung into action,” said the ACP, while adding that during interrogation, Simranjit Singh revealed that he had procured the narcotics from Rajbir Singh and her mother Sukhjinder Kaur, both residents of Udham Singh Nagar.
