The representatives of Indian Medical Association Amritsar (IMA) shared vision and mission of IMA Punjab and IMA Amritsar for 2021here on Friday.

“The IMA aimed to participate in various healthcare and health education activities of central and state governments. Right now our immediate objective is to promote Covid-19 vaccination drive by educating the masses and allaying their fears and reluctance to get inoculated. We have already lost 734 doctors in this war. Therefore, it is also our endeavor to fight for the rights of coronavirus martyrs like getting free education and healthcare facilities for their children whether they are doctors or paramedicos,” said State President Dr Kuldip Singh Arora.

“In the collaboration with Rotary District 3070, our top priority is cervical cancer vaccination for girls in the bracket of 9-14 years of age. To fight against myxopathy, IMA is organising relay hunger strike from 1st to 14th of February all over India against myxopathy. We will also fight against the draconian Clinical Establishment Bill which is anti-doctor and anti-common man,” said Dr Keshave Sudh.
