In Amritsar, BSF seizes 7 kg of ICE smuggled from Pakistan

The contraband was sent from Pakistan through a drone, which was neutralised by the BSF. The drone fell in the fields at Mode village in Amritsar at around 2.30 am.
Acting on an input, a late-night operation was launched leading to the seizure of ICE, BSF authorities said.
BSF officials said on X, “At about 02:30 am, a thorough search of the suspected dropping zone led to the recovery of one assembled drone along with a big black coloured bag tied to it. Upon opening, seven packets of ICE (Methamphetamine), having a gross weight 7.470 kg was found. The recovery was made from an irrigated agricultural field near village- Mode of district Amritsar.”
ICE is a party drug popular in the metros and there are few takers in the border state, which is only a transit route for the drug, said a senior police official.
