Khudian unfurls Tricolour in Tarn Taran

Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian unfurled the National Flag at the Police Lines playground unfurled during the 76th Republic Day in district-level function held on Sunday. He also inspected parade and took salute from different contingents of the Punjab Police on the occasion.

Different departments displayed their performances and welfare schemes in their tableaux. Students of different schools presented very cultural programmes during the function. The Giddha and Bhangra performances enticed viewers.

Families of the freedom-fighters and the martyrs were honoured on the occasion. Needy women were given sewing machines and the physically challenged were presented tricycles.

Sarwan Singh Dhunn, Khemkaran MLA, Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa, District and Sessions Judge, Rahul, Deputy Commissioner, Abhimanyu Rana, SSP, Rajdip Singh Brar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Sanjeev Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development), besides officials from other departments attended the function.
