Salman, a resident of Assewala (Ferozepur), allegedly abducted a teenage girl from Pahuwind village on the intervening night of July 18 and 19 from her residence. A case under Sections 363, 366 and 366-A of the IPC had been registered against the accused. In another case, the police booked Akashdeep Singh, a resident of Sursingh village, for abducting a teenage girl who was his relative from a locality. The accused being a relative of the victim used to visit her house. A case under Sections 363 and 366-A of the IPC has been registered. OC
Woman accuses relative of rape
Amritsar: A married woman has accused a relative of raping her on the pretext of getting her divorced from her husband and marriage. The police have registered a case against the accused. The victim told the police that she worked as a labourer and had two children. She said she came in contact with a relative, Amritpal Singh, alias Modi, of Kherabad village. They became friends and remained in contact over phone. She said on June 15, the accused came to her house and said he would get her divorced from her husband who was a drug addict. He also promised to marry her. Later, the accused took her to a hotel and allegedly raped her.
