Bringing pride to the city, Mahinder Kaur has emerged as the first runners-up at the prestigious Glitz Miss Punjab-2025 beauty pageant, held at Hotel Holiday Inn, in Zirakpur, recently. Born and brought up in Amritsar, Mahinder said her focus was to always balance academics and her passion for pageantry. She completed her schooling from Sri Harkrishan Public School, GT Road, graduated in Vocational Studies from BBK DAV College and holds an MBA degree from GNDU, Amritsar. Additionally, she is a Google-certified diploma holder in digital media and social networking, and a trained Kathak dancer.

Securing a place among the top three finalists from over 1,000 contestants, Mahinder’s journey to the finale was marked by rigorous rounds of talent displays and interviews. Making it to the final 50 and then to the top three was no small feat, and Mahinder considers this achievement a milestone in her life.

She credited her success entirely to her mother, Rupinder Kaur, whose unwavering support and encouragement played a crucial role in shaping Mahinder’s confidence and ambitions. “Whatever I am today is because of my mother’s belief in me,” she said.

Mahinder aspires to inspire young girls from Amritsar and beyond to step forward, embrace their talents and participate in such events that celebrate confidence, intelligence and womanhood. With dreams of competing at national and international levels, she is determined to make her mark on larger stages.
