Goindwal Sahib police have booked one Arjun Singh, a resident of Kang village, in a case of sodomy. ASI Mukhtar Singh, investigating officer, said that a case under Section 377 and 506 of IPC and Section 6 of POCSO Act have been registered against the accused. The mother of the victim, in her statement to the police on Thursday, said that her eight-year-old son had gone to the village to play with his friend on Wednesday. Both then went to the residence of Arjun Singh where the accused committed the crime and threatened to kill the boy if the crime was revealed to anybody. The mother of the victim said that the boy was under depression and when she asked him the reason, he narrated the incident. The matter was brought to the notice of the Goindwal Sahib police. The accused is absconding, said ASI Mukhtar Singh. The police is conducting raids at his possible hide-outs.
