A man died on the spot in Kot Muhammad Khan on Friday evening when his licensed revolver went off accidentally. The deceased has been identified as Jagmohan Singh (41), who after his superannuation from the Army was working in the sub-division office in Naushehra Pannuan as a clerk.

Ranjit Kaur, wife of the deceased, who works as head teacher at Government Elementary School, Kahlwan, said in her statement to the Goindwal Sahib police that her husband Jagmohan Singh was cleaning his licensed revolver when it went off accidentally and the bullet hit him in the head.
