Man murdered in Naushehra Pannuan

One person was murdered in Naushehra Pannuan on Friday night. The deceased has been identified as Lovepreet Singh (19), who was married just a year back. Lovekesh Saini, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Patti, informed here today that rivalry among young boys over minor matters is said to be the root cause of the murder.

The DSP said that members of a rival group attacked Lovepreet Singh and hit him with sharp-edged weapons in the body. As a result, he died on the spot. Four of the accused who have been identified have been named as Jarnail Singh, Karanbir Singh, Kalu Singh and Akashdeep Singh of the same Naushehra Pannuan village. They have been booked under section 103, 190 and 191 of BNS.

Except for Jarnail Singh, the other three accused have been arrested and the police was carrying out raids to arrest Jarnail Singh too, said DSP Lovekesh Saini.
