Man nabbed with illegal weapon
A police party led by ASI Vipin Kumar arrested one person with an illegal weapon from the Jhabal road on Tuesday night.
Inspector Prabhjit Singh, SHO, CIA staff, said the arrested accused was identified as Karandeep Singh Karan, a resident of Plasaur village. The SHO said one country-made pistol and two live cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused.
A case under Sections 25, 54 and 59 of the Arms Act was registered against the accused, he said. The accused was produced in a court here today which sent him to two-day police remand, the SHO said. He further said during interrogation of the accused some snatching cases could likely be solved.
