The Bhikhiwind police found the body of an unidentified person from the Kasur drain near Bainka village here on Thursday. It was wrapped in a gunny bag with the hands and the legs tied with ropes. It is the same spot from where three bodies of unidentified persons were found a month ago.

SHO Inspector Manoj Kumar said here on Friday that the incident was reported to the police by Chamkaur Singh of Bainka village and a police party reached the spot and took the body into their possession. The body has been kept at the mortuary of the Civil Hospital, Patti, for identification.

A case under Sections 103 (1) and 238 of the BNS has been registered by the police. The SHO said the three bodies have not been identified as yet and the police are awaiting the report of the fingerprints of the bodies sent to the Finger Print Bureau, Phillaur. The fingerprints of the body found on Thursday too are being sent for identification to the bureau.
