The Health Department organised a one-day training workshop on maternal and child health at the Civil Surgeon’s office under the leadership of Civil Surgeon Dr Swaranjit Dhawan and District Family Welfare Officer Dr Neelam Bhagat.

The workshop was attended by community health officers and paramedical staff. Dr Bhagat said the main aim of the training is to enhance the quality of maternal and child health services in the district.

Participants received detailed guidance on early registration of pregnant women, management of high risk pregnancies, and postnatal care, with the goal of reducing maternal mortality.

The programme was attended District Health Officer Dr Jaspal Singh, District Epidemiologist Dr Harjot Kaur, District MEIO Amardeep Singh, Dr Navneet Kaur, DPM Sukhjinder Singh and Coordinator Kalmdeep Bhalla, along with other staff members.
