During the inspection, Eat Asia Restaurant, located in Block C of Ranjit Avenue, was found in gross violation of hygiene norms. According to Dr Yogesh Arora, Municipal Health Officer, the restaurant’s kitchen was in an extremely unhygienic condition. Moreover, the team also discovered the use of banned single-use plastic items at the establishment.

The restaurant was also found operating without a valid trade licence from the MC. Furthermore, none of its workers or chefs had undergone mandatory medical examinations, raising serious concerns about food safety. As a result, a challan (penalty notice) was issued against the restaurant.

The MC also inspected the Veer Ji Champ, Chawala Fruits, Bukhara Resturant and Pav Bhaji restaurant in Ranjit Avenue and issued challans for violations.

Dr Yogesh Arora urged all restaurant owners to ensure they obtain valid trade licences from the Municipal Corporation and maintain proper hygiene in their kitchens. He also emphasised the strict prohibition of single-use plastic in eateries.
