Medical store owner robbed of Rs 25K, cellphone
Amritsar, August 9
Eight armed persons looted a medical store owner on the Ghuman road in Mehta Chowk here last night. Jaswant Singh, owner of Bajwa Medical Store, told the police that yesterday he was returning home at Kotla Suba Singh village on his scooter after closing his medical store. The victim said when he reached near Chung village flyover, eight persons on four bikes stopped him.
He said all were armed with blunt and sharp weapons. They assaulted the victim and snatched his mobile phone and
Rs 25,000 in cash from him and fled from the spot. The police have registered a case in this connection and initiated probe into the incident. — TNS
