A meeting was organised for exporters with officials of the Engineering Export Promotion Council of India (EEPCI), Director General Foreign Trade (DGFT) and Department of Industry and Commerce here today.

Utpal Acharya, Joint DGFT, gave a brief introduction on how new markets can be found for buyers to boost export. He shared the procedures for the same.

Gaurav Gupta, Assistant Director, EEPC India, shared the benefits, including technological upgrade and product attestation, up to 50 per cent subsidy under the Market Access Initiative (MAI). He informed that various exhibitions are in the offing, including International Engineering Sourcing Show in November to be held in Chennai and Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January, 2025.

Surinder Duggal, president of Punjab Pradesh Beopar Mandal, Amritsar, requested the DGFT to reopen the office on a regular basis in the holy city so that members of the industry would not have to travel to Ludhiana for submission of documents.
