Punjab Minister for Power and Public Works Harbhajan Singh ETO on Friday organised a special function to felicitate the students from Jandiala Guru Assembly constituency, who excelled in their Class 10 and Class 12 exams, scoring more than 90 per cent marks. Addressing the gathering, the minister encouraged their achievement, claiming that the education level has significantly improved during the AAP government’s tenure. He said that last year, 250 students from his constituency were honoured for achieving over 80 per cent marks, whereas this year, 271 students from 32 schools have achieved the impressive feat of scoring above 90 per cent.

The minister attributed the achievement not only to the hard work put in by people from Jandiala Guru constituency but to the entire state of Punjab. He highlighted the outstanding performance of 34 students from Jandiala Guru’s School of Eminence and 18 from Government Senior Secondary School, Dashmesh Nagar, while honouring them.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori praised the remarkable achievement of the students and encouraged them to set targets and work hard to achieve their goals. SSP (Rural) Charanjit Singh urged the other students to draw inspiration from the meritorious students and strive for academic excellence.
