Cabinet Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar has criticised the Union Government for depriving nearly 55 lakh persons from availing the facility of free ration. Addressing media persons here on Sunday, the minister said that the Union Government, under the cover of KYC (Know Your Customer), and to verify the identity of the beneficiary, stopped the supply of ration to 23 lakh persons, and now instructions have been issued to deprive 32 lakh more people by deleting their names from the list of beneficiaries.
