Mobile phones and other objectionable articles continue to be seized from inside the barracks of the Central Jail, Goindwal Sahib.

Jail officials revealed here on Friday that during the last few days, eight touch-screen phones, four keypad phones, 12 SIMs, one headphone, one data cable and two chargers have been seized from different barracks of the jail.

Three cases under Section 52-A of the Prisons Act were on Thursday registered by the Goindwal Sahib police in this regard. Ajay Kumar, a resident of Tarn Taran, Akashdeep Singh, a resident of Gumtala (Amritsar), and others have been nominated as the accused in the case.
