NCC cadets of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh (PHHP & C) Directorate, Chandigarh circle, paid their homage to freedom fighters at Abdul Hamid Memorial in Assal Uttar village (Khemkaran) on Wednesday. The NCC cadets are on a cycle rally from Hussainiwala to Delhi.

The cycle rally includes six men and an equal number of women NCC cadets besides an officer, an Associate NCC Officer and a permanent instructional staff. The rally reached here on Tuesday and was flagged off for Amritsar on Wednesday after covering a distance of 60 km. Alkesh Kumar Sinha, Commandant, 101 BSF Battalion and Lt Col Amritpal Singh, Officiating Commanding Officer, 1 Punjab Battalion, NCC, flagged off the cycle rally.
