NDRF disaster management session

Partap World School, Pathankot, recently hosted a highly informative and action-oriented expert session of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for NCC Naval cadets.

Dungar Lal Jakhar, Assistant Commandant of the 7th Battalion, NDRF, Bathinda, led the session, focusing on crucial topics such as disaster management, first-aid, emergency response, earthquake preparedness and, the role and functions of the NDRF. Through live demonstrations and interactive discussions, cadets were trained in life-saving techniques and response protocols essential during natural and man-made disasters.

The session aimed to sensitise young cadets towards disaster readiness, emphasising practical skills and mental preparedness. Cadets also learned about NDRF’s operational strategies and how coordination during crises can save countless lives.

Commanding Officer Cdr N Nishant praised the NDRF team’s dedication and said, “Sessions like these provide cadets with real-world insights and enhance their ability to serve the nation beyond uniformed duties.”

The Director of Partap World School, Sunny Mahajan, said, “It is our privilege to host the NDRF and equip our students with knowledge that empowers and educates them for life.”
