Based on the statement of a 15-year-old girl, the police have arrested Harpreet Singh, alias Mintu, of Souli village, for raping her and registered a case against him under Sections 65 (BNS) and section 6 of POCSO Act. The victim told the police that she was a student of Class 10.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
