More than 1,000 women of Amritsar North constituency have sent rakhis to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a special event.

Thousands of residents from all walks of life attended the event organised to commemorate the unique bond of love, trust and joy of rakhi. The residents also hailed the armed forces for Operation Sindoor.

“The essence of trust and faith in our defence forces is our respect for their actions to preserve and uplift our great country’s esteem and dignity,” said Akshay Sharma, a BJP youth wing leader. “I will take all rakhis and hand it over to the Prime Minister, and convey the unlimited love and respect of each one of us,” Akshay Sharma added.
