Over 250-gm heroin seized, 11 arrested

The police arrested 11 accused and recovered 266 grams of heroin from different places on Sunday. DSP Ravisher Singh said on Monday that the Goindwal Sahib police arrested one Shamsher Singh, a resident of Khadoor Sahib with 105 grams of heroin.
Meanwhile, Patti Sadar police arrested three and recovered 15 grams of heroin. The arrested accuseds have been identified as Gurpreet Singh of Patti, Kuldeep Singh of Sabhra and Sahil Malhotra. Malhotra had sold the consignment to Gurpreet Singh and Kuldeep Singh.
It was also informed that the Khalra police led by ASI Nirmal Singh arrested Sandeep Singh of Marimegha with 18 grams of heroin and also seized his electronic weighing machine. According to more reports, Harjit Singh of Pakka Quilha was arrested by the Chabal police with 18 grams of heroin, Ranjit Singh Rana was arrested with 30 grams of heroin by Valtoha police led by ASI Avtar Singh and Rajiv Kumar with 20 grams of heroin. The police team was led by Sub-inspector Charan Singh.
It was also learnt that the Sarai Amanat Khan police led by ASI Satpal recovered 42 grams of heroin from Sukhpal Singh Pali and Kuldeep Singh, residents of Pakka Quila (Chabal). In another report, it was stated that the Tarn Taran city police recovered 20.99 grams of heroin from Harwinder Singh Kaju of Mohalla Jaswant Singh.
