Abhyam Sharma said it was not a political fight but a fight to save the Constitution. “Such malpractices do not augur well for the democracy and the constitutional responsibilities of the country. The entire country feels cheated as voting rights are the most sacred rights given to citizens by the Constitution after numerous sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, thinkers and social activists. It is indeed a criminal fraud and the collusion of the Election Commission of India with the BJP is clearly visible.”

He added that, “The underhand methods adopted by the BJP were registration of duplicate voters, fake and invalid addresses, bulk voters at a single address and invalid photos.”
