The Patti sub-jail has been made drug-free with the efforts of the jail authorities. Jail Superintendent Amar Singh claimed here on Wednesday that no inmate of the jail was taking tablets from the OOAT centre established in the jail premises. The Jail Superintendent claimed that from September 1, 2024 till date, as many as 225 inmates have kicked addiction through psychotherapy and counselling.

The Health Department too has confirmed that the OOAT centre in the jail has not been demanding tablets for inmates.
