A team from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) visited the Municipal Corporation and successfully concluded the street food hygiene training programme for street vendors. The team led by Abhinav Kalra from the PGIMER interacted with MC officials and street vendors. Assistant MC Commissioner Anil Arora, Nodal Officer for PM SVANidhi (PM Street Vendors AtmaNirbhar Nidhi) programme Jaswinder Singh made vendors aware about various schemes of the government.

“The programme aims to promote a clean and healthy environment, ensure welfare of citizens and increase the confidence of street vendors in their business. By bridging the gap between various social security schemes and street vendors, the initiative paves the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future,” said Nodal Officer Jaswinder Singh.
