Inderjit Kaur, president, Pingalwara Charitable Society, visited the flood-affected villages near Harike headworks alongside the Sutlej and gathered first-hand information of the affected people on Friday. The spiritual leader brought relief material with her team, which was distributed among the residents of the affected people in different villages.

The MLA from Amritsar (North) Kunwar Vijay Partap was among others who accompanied Inderjit Kaur. The latter while interacting with the flood-affected residents called them not to lose heart and always be positive. She extended her best wishes to the people who had been deprived of their normal life and said that they would soon return to their normal life.

Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh while talking to this correspondent alleged that the present administration and the state government was totally responsible for the sorrows of the flood-affected people and said that even now the state government had failed to mend its way and relief was not able to reach the affected people.
