Amritsar: Police seize 1 kg heroin, five drug peddlers held in two cases

They were identified as Gursewak Singh of Rai village falling under the Lopoke police station and Kuljit Singh of Harad Khurd village in Ramdas police station area.
The police also impounded a motorcycle without registration number on which they were travelling to deliver the consignment, said the police.

They were identified as Harpreet Singh alias Harpartap Singh, his wife Priyanka and Shilpa, all residents of Sandhu Colony located on the Batala road.
The police seized 260gm of heroin and Rs 5290 of drug money from them. A case under the NDPS Act was registered against them at the Sadar police station here. They were produced in a local court and brought on police remand for further investigations.
