The Amritsar (Rural) police have frozen properties of two more drug peddlers identified as Onkar Singh, a resident of Daoke border village, and Roman Singh, a resident of Bhaini Rajputa village.

They were arrested by the police for allegedly possessing 1.5kg and 300gm of heroin in two separate incidents on December 29, 2023, and December 6, 2023, respectively.

Charanjit Singh, SSP, Amritsar (Rural), said the police froze residential properties worth

Rs 1.13 crore belonging to two drug traffickers. The police froze a residential house of Onkar Singh worth Rs 89.90 lakh in market. Similarly, a residential house of Roman Singh in Bhaini Rajputa village worth Rs 23.22 lakh was also frozen by the police, the SSP said.

The properties were frozen after approval from the competent authority in Delhi under Section 68 (F) (2) of the NDPS Act, the SSP said.
