During the meeting, L&T’s project manager Rahul Patel presented a progress report and stated that repeated instructions had already been given to complete the work on schedule. However, the company is facing a shortage of labour, which is causing delays. MC Commissioner Aulakh expressed concern over the delay and firmly directed L&T to immediately increase the workforce and bring in additional construction machinery and necessary resources. He emphasized that the project must be completed within the set timeframe without any further postponements.

The MC Commissioner also instructed the company to ensure public safety and convenience at all construction sites across the city. He stressed that barricading, signage, and traffic management must be handled responsibly so that the ongoing works do not pose any inconvenience or risk to local residents.

Highlighting future plans, the MC Commissioner mentioned that the municipal corporation is moving towards digital transformation of its services to ensure faster, transparent, and citizen-friendly delivery. Once implemented, these digital services will enable residents to access various civic utilities easily and in a timely manner.
