The event, held at Company Bagh, drew a large number of yoga enthusiasts. The programme began with floral tributes and lamp lighting before the portrait of the organisation’s founder, Prakash Lal by Virendra Dhawan, Satish Mahajan, Sunil Kapoor, Pramod Sodhi, Master Mohan Lal and Giridhari Lal. Master Mohan Lal also rendered devotional hymns.
Virendra Dhawan led the yoga and pranayama session, explaining the benefits of various asanas. In his address, he called yoga a divine path to a disease-free and blissful life, stressing the importance of discipline. He urged participants not only to embrace yoga themselves but also to inspire others to adopt it.
The organisation currently operates nearly 75 free yoga centres across the city, offering daily yoga and pranayama sessions open to all, without political affiliation or discrimination.
On the sidelines of the programme, the institution set up a stall displaying yoga-related materials, books and products manufactured by the Yog Sansthan.
